I see requests for thesis/dissertation help every day. For the most part, people are looking for quick help to solve a particular problem that is causing them delays in competing their dissertations. I always regret (and so do they) that they didn't seek coaching help earlier, before a crisis occurred.
Coaching assumes that a writer or student or client of any kind is willing to engage in the process for a while. Some of my preferred clients have been with me for years, not always continuously, but as they need me. A long-term working relationship is useful when issues pop up unexpectedly.
For example, it's common for doctoral candidates to contact me when they first realize that their skills in business writing are at odds with what is required for academic writing. After working through some chapter revisions, they have the confidence to move on along for a while. But then, inevitably, they come back to me after a while for proofreading, advice on structuring, or assistance in helping them to "translate" the comments of supervisors. Being familiar with their earlier work is very useful in revising later chapters.
And I'm never happier when I hear from students who have just started the writing portion of their graduate journey. Often, they've just been admitted to program, and the message is "Congratulations, you've been admitted, Now go and write a thesis!" Where to start? As many have discovered, coaching help from the beginning sets them on the right path.
So this is a blatant promotional message for getting in touch with me early. As my Testimonials show, my past clients will applaud that decision:
